JOB SUMMARY: Provides guidance and assistance to Health, Nutrition and Center Staff. Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates a comprehensive health service, health and safety and education plan for children and their families. Collaborates with health care professionals to ensure the provision of all aspects of health service delivery for children and their families. This position involves extensive record-keeping, organizing, interpreting, and communicating medical data and terminology and problem-solving skills.
QUALIFICATIONS: LPN Degree or an Associate Degree or higher in Public Health, Health Education, Maternal Child Health or a related field required. At least two years of experience working in children’s health services, public health, or school nursing preferred. Knowledge of available community resources is required. Must be flexible, well organized and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. A valid S.C. driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required. Must be able to lift, stoop, bend and kneel without limitations.
