Accounts Payable Specialist

JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY): Duties include processing vendor payment for customer assistance awards and reconciling expenditures and budget balances for customer assistance by county. Maintain accounts payable files for assigned vendors. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum General Education: High school graduate with at least 2 years post-secondary training in accounting or related courses, or equivalent experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Minimum Work Experience: Experience in basic bookkeeping and excel spreadsheets required. Excellent math, computer, and general office skills required. Experience working with the public in a social services environment desired.
- Other: Must be able to plan and schedule work. Must be able to work closely with other staff as part of a team. Must maintain confidentiality. Accuracy with a calculator and legible handwriting required.
