JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY):
Provides clerical and operational support to the Head Start Department. Answers incoming telephone calls and routes them appropriately. Greets and appropriately directs SHARE Head Start clients and visitors. Maintains logs for incoming and outgoing mail. Assist the Social Services and Health/Nutrition Facilitators with entering data (i.e. children enrollment application information, physicals/dental exams, immunizations, etc.). Assist the Social Services Facilitator with reviewing enrollment applications and paying attention to details to make certain that all necessary documents are in the children files. Provides administrative assistance to the Office Manager. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum General Education: High School Diploma or a GED (General Education Degree) with two years of general office experience preferred.
Other: Must have pleasant telephone mannerism and be able to work well with the general public, clients and co-workers. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Good record keeping skills are required. Must have a valid South Carolina driving license and an acceptable driving record.
