SALARY ENTRY:  $52,800

JOB SUMMARY
: Has Management and Operational responsibilities for coordinating all aspects of the Health Services Area.  Provides guidance and leadership to Health Services staff. Plans, supervises, and evaluates the Head Start Health Program as outlined in the DHHS Performance Standards. Ensures that each child is up to date on a schedule of age-appropriate preventive and primary health care which includes medical, dental, and mental health.  Counsel parents about child and family health problems. Promotes parent involvement in all aspects of the health program. Reviews, evaluates, and interprets health records and other vital health service data.

QUALIFICATIONS:   LPN Degree Required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (RN) Public Health Education, Maternal Child Health, or related field preferred. At least Two (2) years of experience working in children’s health services or public health nursing is desired. Experience developing and implementing health education programs for children, parents, and staff desired. Knowledge of available community resources is required. Must be flexible, well organized, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. A valid S.C. driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required. Must be able to lift 55 lbs., stoop, bend, and kneel without limitations.
