JOB SUMMARY: Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates an effective nutrition service program in accordance with all OHS guidelines. Ensures that all aspects of the nutrition program and menus meet CACFP requirements and all Federal and State standards. Collaborates with other community agencies and nutrition professionals on behalf of children and families. Supervises and evaluates nutrition staff (cooks) and Kitchen Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum General Education: Registered Dietician (RD) or Nutritionist with a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field preferred. Must be flexible, well organized and have excellent time management, problem solving and analytical skills. Must be knowledgeable of available community resources. Must respect children and adults from various cultures and backgrounds. Excellent verbal, written communication, computer skills including managing computer database systems and word processing is required. Must be willing to acquire training and additional skills to enhance the nutrition service area.
