In recognition of National Head Start Awareness Month, SHARE Community Action is calling all Head Start alumni and products of Head Start to come together and share their stories. Participants are encouraged to tell how Head Start helped build their foundation and shaped the person and/or professional they are today. With proposed changes to Head Start potentially affecting future generations of children and families, these personal stories can help demonstrate the lasting impact of Head Start and why these programs continue to matter. Attendees are encouraged to wear red in support of Head Start.
The event will be held on Saturday, October 31, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the SHARE Community Action Agency, 254 South Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. This is an outdoor event featuring fun games for children, trunk-or-treat, community resources, food trucks, a Best Kids Costume Contest, and door prizes. A QR code is available to submit your Head Start story. For more information, call 864-226-0367 Ext. 102.
