Nature Art

During the week of 9-26/ 9-30, the children were learning about the letter Nn. We started off by letting the children share what they think is Nature to them. On 9-28 during planning time, we went on a nature walk. We wanted natural curiosity from the children, so we gave them a plastic bag to gather the nature items that they find. This created fun discussions between peers/teachers. We decided to use some of the materials we gathered to make shadow people and a nature collage for a small group activity. Enjoying the natural world around us helps children develop a lifelong connection in their early childhood development and environmental literacy.
