JOB SUMMARY:
  Works under the direction of the Family Partnership Facilitator providing support to the Family Advocate staff.  The Lead Family Advocate acts as a liaison between the Family Partnership Facilitator and the Family Advocate staff.  The Lead Advocate assists in monitoring PFCE, Family Partnership Agreements, Family Assessments, ERSEA and Health Service Areas.  The Lead Family Advocates will make site visits and will monitor program activities to assess the quality, verify data in written reports and child-plus data entry reports. The Lead Advocates will establish Family Partnership Agreements with their assigned families, conduct children’s application intake, process applications, enter information into data management system, maintain accurate up-to-date files and provide data reports as required. Will make periodic home visits as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelors degree in Social Work, Human Services or related degree in the social science field.  Two years of experience in family services in a Head Start Program or equivalent experience in social services or social science field preferred.  Previous case management experience and knowledge of available community resources desired.   Must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to plan and work independently. A valid South Carolina drivers’ license is with an acceptable driving record is required.  Must be physically capable of assisting in the center(s) as needed.
