Our two divisions at SHARE work holistically to provide services and assist low-income individuals and families in reaching their goals in life to become self-reliant.
Our Head Start and Early Head Start programs help our children succeed in school and in life, and are vital parts in delivering essential services as we work together within SHARE and with other non-profits and service organizations to support the compassionate and effective delivery of human services.
Each year, thousands of eligible households receive assistance from our Community Economic Opportunity Division for job training to obtain employment and increase earnings, case management, and basic human needs such as safe and healthier housing, rent, and utilities.
SHARE has been a leading anti-poverty and poverty reduction advocate in South Carolina and has helped residents in our four-county service area, identify, confront, and overcome the debilitating effects of poverty and achieve economic stability and personal success for 55 years now. SHARE was organized in 1966.
Please review our Annual Reports to get more detailed information about SHARE and the outcomes resulting from services we provide to our service recipients.
It is a true pleasure for me to serve in the role of President/CEO working with our staff and Board of Directors to help people and change lives.
